F&G Photography is a collaborative effort of two creative individuals from two different backgrounds: social work and computers. One works as an Information Technologist while the other works as an advocate for HIV/AIDS education and awareness. An unlikely partnership yet together they are able to produce attention-grabbing images fueled by their love for beauty, fashion and photography. They first started to dabble into photography working with dolls in their annual doll pageant Miss Unibarse where they created visually appealing sets and imagery with inanimate objects. You can learn more about Miss Unibarse by visiting: www.missunibarse.com This experience led the two on a journey that would eventually become known as F&G Photography shifting the focus less from the dolls and more into aspiring actors, models and individuals in need of a strong portfolio with an emphasis on fashion editorials and specialized glamour portraits. F&G Photography launched in 2005 and slowly became one of the more recognizable pieces of photography in the Los Angeles area with their innovative styling, artistic visualization and sharp and vibrant colors. In 2007, F&G Photography partners with prominent LGBTQ agencies such as the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center (LAGLC) and Trans-Unity where select photos from their portfolio will be featured, displayed and sold to benefit and financially support programs within the agency. They are also working with API Wellness Center in San Francisco with Catwalk where they were chosen to photograph transgender women and created positive and strong images to help break away from the negative and stereotypical visuals society knows about them. Their photographs were feautured in Catwalk's program book in a 6 page fashion layout and several newspapers and magazine publications in and around the San Francisco area. "Our goal is to continue to move forward, learn as much along the way and network with the best. We aim to push the boundaries of creativity by bringing out the best from everyone that we work with." |
