KOLOHE's CORNER: BREATHTAKING BEAUTIES DOMINATES the HEADSHOT COMPETITION

Hello Everyone,

"WOW" is all I can say after viewing the delegates in the first competition of the preliminaries. I was speechless! I actually saw just the first group of delegates competing their headshots and they were simply beautiful. Their national directors definitely did their homework and sent Miss Unibarse Organization the fiercest group ever! Kudos to the creative team of F&G Photography and Tiara Productions is also in order. The level of artistry is unmatched and the stakes are definitely raised from their West LA humble beginnings.

As promised, I will give you a play by play of the goings on behind the scenes just like how they do it in the NFL, only difference is our 'shop' talk is about lipstick and tiara's and not touchdowns and tight ends...although, nevermind. Let us begin with the first group of delegates:

Miss Argentina-Unibarse 2006: She was a bit 'stoned' looking during her arrival photos but this girl turned up the heat during the headshot competition. She was very sweet and pristine with her photos I have nothing but praises for this girl...she worked it and those bitches better be 'scuuuured'.

Miss Angola-Unibarse 2006: If there was an award for 'Best in Smile' this girl wins it hands down! Her smile is contagious and she is always smiling...duh! In terms of her photo shoot she is another strong delegate, a bublier and younger version of last year's Miss Angola, she is definitely Top 25 material.

Miss Aruba-Unibarse 2006: Her 'Pocahantas', Native American/Latin feel is one of her strong assets. I like this girl because she is not afraid to try on different poses and that's very hard considering they don't bend easily. Her dusky complexion registers well on camera. My only concern is her feet, she's got huge feet! Wonder what she will do during the swimsuit and I can only hope her evening gown is long! Great follow-up delegate Aruba!

Miss Australia-Unibarse 2006: Her photograph is very 'ethereal' in composition. Her blond hair blowing with the wind is very cool to look at. I love her photo but I am not too fond of her lipstick selection. She needs to tone it down a bit, perhaps go for the more neutral colors to bring out her expressive eyes. Nontheless, another great follow up from the land down under!

Miss Botswana-Unibarse 2006: Last year's Miss Botswana failed to make the cut and this year's delegate is back with a vengeance. She is sultry, sexy and very mochalateeee! Her big brown eyes and her long luscious hair are her greatest assets. During her photo shoot, she was one of the girls who had a hard time with the posing, she was stiff but she only needed one shot and she got it.

Miss Brazil-Unibarse 2006: Dusky and pouty, this 'Jennifer Hudson' look-a-like is strong in all her photos. She was mentioned to have an attitude problem during the photo shoot but those were all 'gossip' from the insecure delegates. Watch for Miss Brazil to shine in the swimsuit and evening gown competition.

Miss Canada-Unibarse 2006: Canada sends a Natalie Glebova and Oxana Feradova clone to this year's Miss Unibarse competition and the whole 'Unibarse' has their eyes set on her to win it all. Personally, she seems 'icy' but you can't deny her beautiful face.

Miss China-Unibarse 2006: Stunning, exotic and captivating, China sends another well polished delegate to this year's competition. She is considered to be Asia's front runner but another Asian delegate wants her spot in the finals. Would it be chowmein or pad thai for the finals...it all depends on the judges.

Miss Chile-Unibarse 2006: Chile has a strong following, they have a Chilean cheering group and the y are not afraid to show their love and support for Miss Chile. A special 'shout out' goes out to the 'GrupoDeChile' bunch! Your delegate is purrty, a younger and brunette version of Geena Davis.

Miss Colombia-Unibarse 2006: Three words: PLA-TI-NUM! She is smooookin'. The only issue the photographer had with her during the shoot was she needed to tone down her 'sex appeal' big time! Her photos were looking a bit 'hoochie' but she worked it out and her photos are fan-ta-bu-lous!

Miss Costa Rica-Unibarse 2006: In person she is striking and her beauty is threatening but her photo shoot was disappointing. We expected a lot from this delegate but all she gave us during the shoot was 'vanilla'. Still love her though, go RED!

Miss Curacao-Unibarse 2006: She has the biggest and most expressive eyes in the competition. The photographers were worried her eyes would register as 'looking scared' and 'gulat' but she looked like she over dozed in 'serenity pills'.

Miss Denmark-Unibarse 2006: One word: "Haaaaaaaay!" Doesn't she look like she fell down on the set? This girl has the coolest hair style in the bunch she gets a nod from the 'fashion poilce'. Love the gurl, not the pose!

Miss Dominican Republic-Unibarse 2006: Last year Dominican Republic won 3rd Runner Up, this year they are here to WIN! She is simply breathtaking. One of the prettiest faces in the competition, I love this girl and I am sure she will have no problems working her way into the Top 5!

Miss Egypt-Unibarse 2006: She looks like she got on a lion's 'mane' and she tried to get some votes showing us a 'nipple shot' in her headshot. Sort of 'skanky' but the picture works. Hate the pose, love the hair and those piercing blue-ish-purple-ish pair of eyes! Great delegate Egypt!

Miss Ethiopia-Unibarse 2006: For those of you who following the current installment of 'American Idol' many of our crew and fans have commented that this girl looks like Paris Bennett, AI's recent castaway. I beg to differ, Miss Ethiopia does not look like a 'troll'! She reminds me of a younger version of Oprah Winfrey. Great hair, great dress and definitely great headshot!

Miss France-Unibarse 2006: She looks oily but she has one of my favorite headshots in the bunch. If you look at her photo, she looks doll-like. One thing I didn't like is that her dress looks like it's falling off and her Victoria Secret push up bra is saying 'peek-a-boo'!

Miss Germany-Unibarse 2006: Miss Germany has to most beautiful green eyes in the competition. Her German/Middle Eastern beauty shines through in her photos that a lot of the press photographers covering the event pick her as this year's Miss Photogenic. We will soon find out if the judges agree with their pick.

Miss Greece-Unibarse 2006: Anyone who can pull of 'blue' eye shadow with an orange dress needs to be in the top 5. This girl is brave to go againts the 'fashion police' covering the pageant. Miss Greece is a deadringer to last year's Miss Chile, who placed 2nd runner up, that a lot of the girls ask her...'what are you doing back?'.

Miss Honduras-Unibarse 2006: This looks like a first communion photo with the light gently hitting the side of her head from the heavens. I don't see anything special with this headshot but I loooove her lipstick color.

Miss Iceland-Unibarse 2006: Pretty girl but her hair color matches the dress. A bit over kill in my opinion but 'maganda siya'. For our English readers, 'she puuurty'. She has a fresh look, one we have not seen in this pageant, probably because she has been 'discontinued'. Best of luck Miss Iceland!

Miss India-Unibarse 2006: A lotof pageant aficionado compare her to aformer Miss World from India. Do you know who I am referring to? Good, who is it again?!? Anyways, she is beautiful and her make up is flawless. She should win 'Miss Clairol's Best Colored Hair' because she's worth it!

Miss Indonesia-Unibarse 2006: At first, I thought she looked like Miss Japan and Miss China but if you look closely, she doesn't or does she?!? Looking very ethnic in her arrival photo, we expected little from this delegate. This goes to show that we 'can't judge her, because she's not a book', this guuurl worked it and she turned in the best set of headshots in Miss Unibarse history! Way to go Indonesia!

Miss Italy-Unibarse 2006: Visitors at the website have compared her to 'Jade' from ANTM Cycle 5. To a certain extent, she does resemble her but one thng is foo sure, Miss Italy Unibarse ain't no 'undiscovered supermodel'! She is Italy's Top Model and she has the best pair breasts in the competition.

Miss Japan-Unibarse 2006: Regal, statuesque and oh-so-gorgeous, Miss Japan is another front runner from Asia. She has been compared to the exquisite Kikiko Kinakati, Japan's former Miss Toyota Corolla World winner. Miss Japan has a quite confidence, very serene and calm in nature. Wait till you see her evening gown...WOW!

Miss Jamiaca-Unibarse 2006: Looks like Miss Italy's long lost twin sister only darker. She's got the long, wavy hair going, fresh attitude and those big doe eyes. Miss Jamaica has 'no problem' of getting into the top 25 in June.

Miss Kenya-Unibarse 2006: Make up must have been cheap where she came from 'cause she brought a lot! This gurl is wearing too much makeup that she looks like a pretty drag queen waiting to go perform on stage! Her headshot is undeniably fashion forward. Love the hair, the lighting and the stand. Great job Kenya!

MISS NORWAY ELIMINATED from COMPETITION?

Norway's very first entry in Miss Unibarse 2006 may lose her spot in the roster of delegates due to an unfortunate mishap. Memebers of the Los Angeles Seaport Customs (LASC) called overseas to Namibia to deliver important and disturbing news. Apparently, an extra cargo containing an unmarked box was found floating near Malibu, California. When officials collected the ocean debris, they found Miss Norway Unibarse and her fabulous array of designer gowns, sexy swimsuits and colorful national costume. It is unknown why her cargo was shipped to the US and not Namibia. LASC officials are now frantically finding ways to get Miss Norway Unibarse to Namibia just in time for the very first preliminary competition. Will Norway be able to compete this year or does her journey for the crown of Miss Unibarse 2006 end in Malibu? Good thing is Barbie just lives a few blocks away, perhaps this Scandinavian bombshell and America's sweetheart can just hook up ang hang out at the beach? Stay tuned tomorrow to see if Miss Norway Unibarse finds her 'way' to Namibia as we begin the headshot competition.

MISS SOUTH AFRICA COLLAPSES DURING PHOTO SHOOT

The whole management and production crew of F&G and Tiara productions recieved alarming news yesterday that Miss South Africa Unibarse 2006 collapsed during the headshot competition of Miss Unibarse 2006. Organizers sent paramedic Ken and go-go dancer 'Billy' from Puerto Rico to aid the fallen beauty. While the paramedics were on route, Miss South Africa Unibarse was aided by Kuprek Nerti, Miss Unibarse 2005, who happens to be the the chaperone of all the delegated during the shoot. Reporters interviewed witnesses on the scene including photographer and stylist of the headshot competition F&G, and this is what they found out.

"Miss South Africa was doing very well during the photo shoot... she was 'working it' like the crowning was today! She was FIERCE!" "To add more drama to the shoot we decided to turn on the industrial fan..as we turned the fan on maximum...PLOP goes Miss SA hitting her head on the light fixture." Other delegates who are waiting for their turn to be photographed had these disturbing statements about the accident. As per the delegates request, they would like to be 'anonymous' to not hurt their chances during the competition.

"That could have been ME! I was next in line...that bitch sure knows how to work it...she was a GENIUS!" (Anonymous from Europe) "Uhm, where's South Africa...isn't that an island?" (Anonymous from Central America) "I hope she recovers well, she borrowed my gown and I need it back!" (Anonymous from Asia) "Accident?!? There was an accident?!? Was it Venezuela or Mexico?!?...oh, darn! By the way, do you know what kind of food Mexico is allergic to...?!? (Anonymous from Africa)

MISS UNIBARSE 2006 FAST TRACK COMPETITION

In an effort to add excitement and diversity to this year's competition, the MISS UNIBARSE Organization and TIARA Productions
will implement the FAST TRACK competition where four (4) of the delegates competing during the preliminaries will earn a spot in
the TOP 25 at this year's finals in June. Here's how it works:

This year's delegates will compete in four (4) categories: headshot, national costume, swimsuit and evening gown. Once a category is
launched, the select and accomplished group of preliminary judges will have three (3) days to view and score the girls. The lowest and
highest score from each judge will be eliminated and the rest is averaged. To be fair and to add more suspense to the judging process,
the computer will RANDOMLY select fifteen (15) out of the twenty (20) preliminary judge's scores and those scores, once averaged, will
determine the delegates preliminary score in each category.

The delegate that scores the highest in each competition will earn a FAST TRACK spot during the finals in June. There are four (4) fast
track winners in headshot, national costume, swimsuit and evening gown. These FAST TRACK winners will compete with the FAST TRACK
winner from the "People's Choice: MISS UNIBARSE" voting competition and 20 other delegates that competed strongly during the preliminaries.

Judges you have a very difficult task ahead of you. The question is...are you guys ready? Stay tuned next week as we begin the preliminary competition for MISS UNIBARSE 2006

WORLD WIDE WEB COMMUNITY GETS TO VOTE for their FAVORITE MISS UNIBARSE CANDIDATE

As the judges and the candidates prepare for the preliminary competition, you too can be part of the action as a 'PEOPLE'S CHOICE' voter. Here's how it works...

Throughout the month of May, the delegates are launched into four (4) different categories: headshot, national costume, swimsuit and evening gown. Once a competition is launched, the public has the entire week to vote for their favorite in each category. The delegate with the most votes by the end of the competition week will be highlighted and awarded at the end of the preliminaries. There will be a (1) "People's Choice: Miss Photogenic", (2) "People's Choice: Best in National Costume", (3) "People's Choice: Best in Swimsuit" and (4) "People's Choice: Best in Evening Gown".
All in all, there will be five (5) 'People's Choice" winners. Confused? Here's why...

The fifth special award is the "People's Choice: MISS UNIBARSE" category. The voting public will have a chance to vote throughout the entire month of May for their overall favorite delegate for the crown. The delegate that garners the most votes by the end of May earns a FAST TRACK spot in the TOP 25 and competes with 4 other FAST TRACK WINNERS and 20 other FINALISTS who competed well during the preliminaries.

Similar to the voting method at "American Idol" (USA Version), the public can vote as much as they want for their favorite delegate. They can also vote for more than one delegate, the important thing is to support your delegate and just VOTE! By the way, the votes are FREE, let the votings begin.

MISS UNIBARSE GIRLS BEING ATTACKED!

This was an article taken from the british premiere pageant tabloid, National Junkquirer. The writer (codename "Cheekbones") is known as the Simon Cowell slash Carson Kressley of beauty pageant. Here is what he has to write about the candidates ...

Behind these plastic smiles ... MISS UNIBARSE 2006

"Canada- She’s one of the prettiest girls in the group. I love her long legs, but I think her waistline is too high. She needs to give up those arrival outfits. It is not complementing her.

Trinidad and Tobago – Who in the right mind would wear that fabric in the middle of Africa? Girl… I bet your armpits are producing Rhode Island’s water supply for one year. I believe a good outfit brings out the winning African beauty in you.

Peru – Lady… you look like a clown. First you have a multi-colored tye dye outfit with matching loud make up. If you want to win this competition, you have to tone down your make up. You’re naturally beautiful. I want to see that!

USA – I like this girl. First of all, she’s bi-racial. Second, she has a Master’s degree in International Studies. Actually, I wonder how old she is. She must be 30! But the good thing about it is that she looks younger than her age. Also, I hope she sets her ambition higher. Opening a tofu house is good – very entrepreneurial, but if you have a master’s degree from UCLA? Hello! I don’t think you need a master’s degree to open a tofu house.

India – As usual, India sent their strongest delegate so far. I wouldn’t even question her ability in the question and answer portion. I just hope the words ‘world peace’, ‘love is the essence’, ‘Mother Teresa’ etc. won’t be used in the competition. Her beauty is very evident even if her burgundy-dyed hair bothers me. Burgundy is so 1990s.

Turkey – I don’t know why people would wear knee high boots in Namibia – it’s f**king hot out here. I suggest strappy sandals. Its comfortable and a lot more sassier than what you’re wearing. Once again, another lady is sporting a burgundy hair. The difference is, burgundy is Miss Turkey’s natural hair color. However, I do suggest hot oil treatment before the preliminary competition.

Ethiopia – She’s not the prettiest girl in the group but she’s growing on me. Her bubbly personality is very endearing. I hope she gets to be in the top 15. I do hope she chooses the right clothes to wear because her arrival outfit looks like a clearance sale from the teen section of Walmart. I love her natural bouncy hair too.

Namibia – I would be surprised if this girl won’t be in the top 15. She is the perfect follow up candidate after Kuprek Nutri. She looks fierce and ready for the competition. I did hear some rumors that she was actually supposed to compete at last year’s Miss Unibarse but she was asked to give way to Kuprek because one of the organizer’s of the local pageant had a dream that Namibia will win the first ever Miss Unibarse Kuprek competes instead of her. I love her outfit. Bravo to her stylists.

Lebanon – When I see Lebanon, im bored. I’m bored of her and I don’t know why. She’s beautiful and obviously that’s not in question. But I just don’t think there is a spark. She needs to shape up or else, she’ll be left unnoticed.

UNIBERSAL NEWSFLASH

From the moment the delegates arrived, all cameras are on them especially Carrie Roitfeld of International Circuit of Beauty Queens. Here is an article from her magazine.

UNIBERSAL NEWSFLASH

"Miss India had a stomach flu and said she hated Namibia’s weather. Trinidad and Tobago had a hair pulling incident with Miss Aruba stemming from some bitchy comment Trinidad said to Aruba that she has to go to Venezuela for training because Aruba has very low quality of education in their beauty school. Miss Indonesia feels and acts like she’s Miss Unibarse already since her countrymen had put her on a pedestal and hyped her to death in all message boards that she’s the next Miss Unibarse hands down, no competition. Miss Thailand Unibarse just placed and palms together, made a little bow and said under her breath: “Oh Buddha, this is what I have to go through? Put up with all these ugly bitches?”

That was part of the reason why the
Miis Unibarse Welcome Bonfire Party was cancelled. The organizers are planning on sending the girls to sensitivity training. I think the pressure’s on and everyone wants the crown. Hopefully things will calm down and the girls will put their bitchiness behind and enjoy each other’s culture and company.

Well, we’ll wait and see how these girls put on their plastic faces and smile for the cameras! Maybe after the pageant, some journalist or maybe 60/60 can do a story entitled:”Tiara Dolls, Stories Behind The Smiles – what went on at the 2006
Miss Unibarse Pageant”. "

--- taken from an article by Ms. Carrie Roitfeld from the Paris based Le Circuit Internationale de Reines de Beauté

The Miss Unibarse Organization has no comment. Miss India on the other hand denied the allegations and she even said that she loves Namibia's weather and has no problem with it.

MEET and GREET in NAMIBIA

The last group of ladies that arrived in Namibia were the delegates from Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. Don't worry there's more delegates arriving but we thought we should save some of their photos reveals for other events throughout the week.

Miss Mexico Unibarse is simply stunning with her 'Tyra Banks-like' forehead, grace and serene aura. Ironically, Miss Colombia Unibarse is the complete opposite. Loud, vivacious and full of sex appeal watch her shine during the interview and swimsuit competitions. Argentina joins Miss Unibarse for the very first time with a classy and sophisticated delegate.

After the girls have been introduced to the dignitaries of Namibia, the delegates were escorted to a luncheon where they had the first hand experience to taste native Namibian dishes. Although most...all of the delegates did not eat because they did not have a digestive system they did enjoy meeting the other delegates vying for the crown of Miss Unibarse 2006.

THE ARRIVAL - PART IV

The next group of delegates to arrive in Namibia are the ladies from Honduras, Aruba, Indonesia and Jamaica.

Miss Honduras Unibarse is a total glam-azon. Beautiful, tall and voluptuous, she stunned the crowd when she walked out of the terminal dressed in daisy duke shorts and a sequined halter. If there was an award given for the delgate with the most fashion sense in this group, Honduras will surely win. With a top 10 finish for Miss Aruba during last year's pageant, Aruba sends another well prepared delegate to continue their winning streak. Miss Aruba Unibarse was discovered selling clams in an open air fish market. Miss Jamaica Unibarse is the reigning Miss Jamaican Island Teen. She is 17 years old, the youngest participant in Miss Unibarse history. This is the first time Indonesia sends a delegate to Miss Unibarse and she is ready to represent her island nation of Indonesia at Miss Unibarse. Will she sport a one piece or a two piece during the swimsuit competition?

THEY HAVE ARRIVED - PART II

The second batch of delegates landed a few hours ago. The crowd went wild as the each of the delegates from Ethiopia, Italy, India and Namibia stepped out of the terminal and greeted their adoring fans and supporters. Ethiopia joins the this year's roster for the very first time and sends a beautiful and well accomplished delegate. Decked in a designer dress that showed off her curvaceous figure, watch out for Miss Ethiopia Unibarse to do well during the swimsuit competition. Considered a 'power house' when it comes to beauty pageants India did not disappoint with this year's entry. Miss India Unibarse looked smokin' at the press conference that all eyes were on her six pack as she was being introduced to the Namibian dignitaries. Miss Italy joins Miss Unibarse for the first time and could very well win it all with their top model entry. Miss Italy Unibarse definitely knows how to 'work it' in front of the photographers. The stunning Miss Namibia Unibarse was the last one to step out of the arrival terminal. The crowd went crazy as she glided on stage to greet Namibia's dignitaries and Miss Unibarse 2005, Kuprek Nerti from Namibia. Can Namibia win back-to-back Miss Unibarse crowns? We will soon find out.

Please stay tuned for more inside scoop on the delegate's arrival in Namibia.

THEY HAVE ARRIVED!!!!

It has been a year long journey traveling the globe with Miss Unibarse 2005, Kuprek Nerti, crowning beautiful girls from all corners of the globe in search for the new Miss Unibarse. We traveled to Asia, Europe, Pomona, North America, Central America, West Covina, the lands down under and Africa just to find the most beautiful ladies to compete for the world's premiere online pageant for dolls less than 13".

Citizens of the world, the wait is finally over as we reveal this year's official delgates for Miss Unibarse 2006.

This year's girls are by far the best group of delegates this pageant has ever seen. We have 50 ladies competing this year, a lot of them first timers including ladies from: Argentina, Thailand and Indonesia . We are also excited to have 'pageant power house' ladies from from from India, Venezuela and USA competing strong. This is going to be a fierce competition. I have screened each and everyone of the girls back in their own countries and they are definitely ready to conquer the Unibarse.

The first group of delegates that arrived in Namibia are the ladies from Turkey, Switzerland, Korea and Zimbabwe. At hand to welcome these ladies are Namibian dignitaries and MissUnibarse 2005 herself, Kuprek Nurti and her royal court. If this batch is any indication of what's to come, I can confidently say we are in for a treat!

MIss Miss Turkey Unibarse is not your typical beauty queen but something about her is so 'likeable' that I am sure the press photographers and reporters will just love her fiery red hair and cute freckles. Miss Switzerland Unibarse this year is represented by a young, blond beauty. With long blond hair and a body to die for, watch out for this Swiss beauty to topple your chocolates. Miss Korea Unibarse is a very shiek girl with 'doll-like' features that resemble Hollywood actress Lucy Lui. This is Korea's first year to partcipate in Miss Unibarse and a lot of pageant spectators are keeping an eye on this Asian beauty to be one of the favorites. The first time I saw Miss Zimbabwe Unibarse, one word came to mind, regal. She looked classy and beautiful in her black and gold dress during the press conference that she instantly won the hearts of the Namibian people.

Stay tuned for more juicy insights as more delegates arrive in Namibia for Miss Unibarse 2006!
